Rikki-lee has had a strong passion for dance since she begun dancing at age 9, with her training in jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary this passion has grown with her focus shifting to teaching. Rikki-lee enjoys teaching these dance styles to students as well as sharing her love of dance.
Rikki-lee has performed in several eisteddfods as well as school based performances, as well Rikki-lee was selected to perform overseas with a company "Odyssey on Stage" where she traveled to America and Europe as well as performing on two Cruise Liners. Rikki-lee also performed with Joanne Grace School of Dance during their Hong Kong Tour.
Rikki-lee completed her higher school certificate at Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts, achieving 95 percent in dance and landing in the top 5 percent of the state, from school she began a Bachelor of Dance and PDHPE Education at the Australian College of Physical Education where she will enter her third year in 2010. Rikki-lee recently entered in a young choreographers competition, Fast + Fresh Dance where she reached the top 12 out of 80 other works. As well as teaching for Joanne Grace Rikki-lee teaches dance and drama for the disability trust in Wollongong working with students with disabilities, here she teaches dance and runs many work shops to help her students gain much needed confidence in performing and every day life.
Rikki-lee hopes through the many opportunities she has been given through teaching and performing she can learn to pass on her knowledge of dance and her passion for the art form in a constructive and inclusive environment.
