Exam classes are offered in the R.A.D (Royal Academy Of dance)
syllabus.
The Royal Academy Of dance is one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organizations in the world and is the worlds leading organization in classical ballet teaching (www.rad.org.au). The exam syllabus is taught to more than a quarter of a million students world wide and has been designed to give the necessary training to students wishing to study seriously with a possible view to following a career in dance or dance related subjects.

Joanne Grace School Of Dance is proud to offer training in this syllabus from Pre-Primary through to Advanced 2. We offer examinations in classical ballet for young children starting out in dance classes to the student aspiring to become a professional dancer. Exams are offered to students studying ballet twice a week or more and Presentation Classes are offered to those studying ballet once a week so as to cater for every individual. Exams are encouraged but not compulsory.
Classical ballet forms the basis of all styles of dance and is
essential in a dancers training.
Our school offers syllabus classes as well as Pointe classes for those students wanting to study classical ballet at a more serious level and / or for those wishing to further their training through the development of non syllabus steps and exercises. This class is recommended to any student who wishes to sit for major exams or attain a career in the profession and will provide a nice extension to examination work.
Character work will be taught through the R.A.D. grades syllabus and separately for students undertaking eisteddfod work.
