Modern Expressive

Modern Expressive is the style preference for most young dancers.  The style is centered around the classical technique but gives more freedom to the dancer  through greater use of the upper body and incorporates the use of the floor.

This style is danced to a wide range of music which also is an attractive feature for young dancers. It is a requirement that students take a minimum of 1 ballet class per week to be enrolled in this style due to the classical demands of the style.

The contemporary and expressive styles are taught within 1 class titled “Modern” giving the students a taste of both styles without the additional cost of another class.
