Belinda started dancing at the young age of 3 and progressed through the RAD syllabus to become a professional dancer for companies both nationally & abroad.
Dance related injuries during her late teens introduced Belinda to the Pilates Method and evidently became the core focus to rehabilitate her sustained injuries whilst also providing the means to prevent further injuries from occurring.
After her Dancing career Belinda studied through the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) to obtain her Level 2 Pilates Practitioner Certification and completed the regional & systemic anatomy & physiology component with distinction through the Nature Care College in North Sydney. Belinda completed her training through Wollongong Pilates Studio where she has worked as an Instructor for the past 7 years. Belinda has recently completed a Diploma in Nutrition with distinction and is also a current member of the International Association for Dance Medicine (IADMS).
By applying her extensive knowledge of anatomy, movement and the physical requirements of a dancers body Belinda combines traditional Pilates methods with modern principles of exercise science & dance medicine in order to enhance dancers flexibility, strength & overall health to prevent dance related injuries.
Belinda is dedicated to assisting each young & enthusiastic student to reach their full potential as a strong & healthy dancer.
