Kristin ScottKristin started dancing at the age of 10 at JGSoD where she studied ballet, jazz, lyrical and contemporary. During Kristin’s years as a young dancer she won numerous awards at eisteddfod’s, highlights including winning the Classical section, Classical Championship, and the Robert and Elizabeth Albert Dance Championship at City of Sydney Eisteddfod. She also completed RAD examinations with distinctions from grade 4 – Advanced 1, marks ranging between 92-100%.

In 2008, Kristin went on to study full time ballet at Alegria Dance Studios in Sydney under the direction of Hilary Kaplan and Archibald McKenzie. She completed her RAD Advanced 2 exam receiving a mark of 93. Here she also studied the Cecchetti method of Classical Ballet, achieving a mark of 98 in her Advanced 1 exam and received the Senior Gold Medal at the annual Cecchetti Medal Awards. She was accepted into various overseas ballet schools but decided to return to school to complete the HSC – obtaining an ATAR of 89.6 and 93 in the subject of Dance.

Kristin also studied contemporary dance full time at Ev and Bow Dance Training Centre with Sarah Boulter and Lisa Bowmer in 2012. Her professional experience includes a 6-month contract with Royal Caribbean International travelling Europe and the Mediterranean performing in Broadway style shows. She was featured dance extra in Dance Academy series 1,2 and 3 as well as series 2 of Puberty Blues. Kristin has also performed as a back up dancer on both The Voice and X Factor Australia. Kristin completed her studies at the University of New South Wales studying a Bachelor of Arts / Education (secondary), majoring in Dance and minoring in legal studies. Kristin hopes to secure a job as a high school teacher so she can share her knowledge with students of the future.
