Samantha started dancing at the age of three, studying the RAD syllabus in classical ballet as well as jazz, tap, modern and character. As a teen she studied next to Stanton and Damien Welch in classes at Marilyn Jones and Garth Welch’s dance school, and participated in concerts, competitions and eisteddfods as well as teaching junior classes in ballet, jazz and modern dance.
Samantha studied acting and performing arts through the Ensemble Theatre’s 3-year course taught by Hayes Gordon. A founding member of ‘The Rep Theatre’ in Newtown, Samantha gained additional skills in directing and stage management as well as numerous opportunities to act and perform for a paying audience. During this time Samantha also participated in workshops and courses held by NIDA and the Actors Centre, and has numerous stage and TV credits to her name.
Her love of dance was re-ignited when her daughters became passionate about it and in order to update her knowledge Samantha went back to class herself, and took her Intermediate and Advanced Foundation exams. Samantha is currently undertaking the RAD’s CBTS (Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies) course.
