Phoenix began dancing at 2.5 years old, moving to competitive dancing at the age of 4. Phoenix has taken classes in every style of dance including jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, tap and ballet. Phoenix has travelled around Australia, winning numerous national titles. In 2015 she competed in the Australian Tap championships in Melbourne where she finished in the top ten of the country in the 12-25 age category. In 2017, Phoenix was invited by American dance competition “KAR” to travel to the USA, to model their new merchandise, and participate in classes at amazing studios in Los Angeles. In January 2018, Phoenix competed at Showcase and was announced as one of the top ten teen dancers in Australia and New Zealand. Phoenix has been assisting in a range of classes since the age of 13 this including Glen Wood tap syllabus, jazz and hip hop. At the age of 16 Phoenix began to teach solos in the styles of Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop while also having her own Hip Hop class working with younger children. Phoenix has recently completed her HSC in which she received 3 Call back nominations for her Dance pieces. By participating in dance at Wollongong High School Of The Performing arts she has not only been able to build her choreographic style but understand the importance of safe dance practice in the studio.
